Mystery Banana Corm Update

My curiosity got the best of me.  I wanted to know what was transpiring beneath the soil, so I dug out the planted corm.  As you can see, it has grown new roots, and the bud of a beginning plant can be found at several places around the corm.  Yippee!

Dwarf Namwa a.k.a Pisang Awak

This is a tissue-cultured Dwarf Namwa just received from Florida Hill Nursery. It is suppose to grow 6'-9' tall, have a red trunk, and produce lots of lady finger type bananas.
